How does Estonia look like in midsummer? I recently did find the nicest photos about that from one of Evelin Ilves’, the Estonian President’s  wife’s, web pages. As it was technically impossible to refer to that website otherwise, I have made a link to that web page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/album.php?aid=18620&id=119700418047863&ref=mf

Unfortunately, You may first be required to log in to Facebook (after logging in You may have to come back here and click on the link afore again) in order to see the photos, but they really are worth seeing.

Specific information about Estonian midsummer celebrations can be found at http://www.ut.ee/578629

A rhetorical question that may be asked about every human activity is – Whether such activity adds value, or is such activity the next something that is going to shade or even harm the existing values?
In that context, one may ask, what could be the values brought back to Estonia by the pupils and students studying [...]

With the aim to get better picture of modernism and postmodernism, I am reading I, Ward, „Introduction to Critical Legal Theory“. Cavendish Publishing, 2004, which book talks about development of legal thought from modernity to postmodernism. The book talks of development of the society as a network of relations that are nothing other than their communicative content, and discusses, whether [...]

I was reading M. Peters, M. Olssen, C. Lankshear, „Futures of Critical Theory. Dreams of Difference. Rowman & Littlefield Publishers, Inc., 2003, and specifically the work: Gert J. J. Biesta, „Jacques Derrida: Deconstruction = Justice“ in that book.
This is about the nonpresent making the presence of what is present possible (and at the same time [...]

As an attempt to (re)socialize, I decided to visit a Christmas Church today. I thought of going to the Tallinn Jaani Church, where I used to go in 1990s. I was thinking that if I were a priest and would call people to the church in the Christmas Eve, I would carefully think of what [...]

For Monday morning I would recommend an Estonian national drink full of energy:
Ingredients
2,5 l milk
100 g barley meal
1 tbs butter
salt / sugar (I would recommend honey)

Method
Pour the sifted barley meal into the boiling milk using a narrow spout, stir. Season with butter and salt or sugar (honey). Serve as breakfast or supper.

My Father Jaan Erne (born in 1934) with a Fellow who looks like actor Cary Grant, in 1960s.
Having graduated from the Tallinn Business School (or should I say Tallinn School of Commerce?) in 1964, my Father has well managed family resources.
For tough times, he would recommend the recipe that soon follows.
