The Institute of Political Science and Governance of the Tallinn University held two working meetings today. Inter alia, the questions concerning the joint European research area, cooperation networks of universities / research institutions, possible coordinated specialization of universities, governance and local initiatives were discussed.
A relevant policy paper (that was directly not discussed) is available at http://ec.europa.eu/research/era/pdf/community_research_policy_role.pdf
After the meetings, the Institute’s Christmas Party for students and all academic and non-academic workers took place at the Students’ House at Raekoja plats (Town Hall Square) 16 – http://www.tudengimaja.ee In the years 1992-1993, I used to work at Raekoja plats 17, so I had the opportunity to look out of the window of the building and see almost the same view as I used to. Those earlier days did I not understand how lucky I was working in that building, at that location, for the Estonian Christian Community, and with the people I did work with.
